The I/O 2016 event saw the launch of two revolutionary apps by Google. One of the app for text based chat and named as Allo, while the other one is Duo, a video calling app. This particular article focused on the Duo App. We will provide you all available information regarding the Duo app.
Initially video calling feature was limited to PC’s and laptops. After the smartphones were introduced, this facility gained lot of popularity. While lots of providers do provide apps for video calling on smartphone, the interesting thing now is that Google has also entered this marked. The video calling app by Google could be one step ahead from all of available video calling options. This app hasn’t been Officially launched yet, but in the Google Store, you can find it with the “Pre-Register” option. So if you are interested, you should pre-register asap. Once the app is available, you will be notified.

This app is a mobile only app. So you won’t find any desktop versions. However using some tools you can use it on PC also.

Once the app is opened, user is greeted with self cam video preview. You will see the contacts within the “circles” and tapping any of them will initiate the call. During the call, audio can be muted and camera can be flipped. Sadly,The video conferencing option is not available. The size of the app is around 5MB, so don’t bother about it. When you answer the video call, you will see that the video call is already there. So, like other providers, you don’t have to wait for the video to appear on your screen.
